A Referral Service, Explained

This site is a go-between, not a contractor. It employs no roofers, gives no bids or prices of its own, signs no contracts and never handles insurance claims. When you send a request, it goes to one independent roofing company that serves the Memphis area. That roofer inspects the roof, prices the job and does any work you agree to.

Here is how the money works. The roofing company pays this site for each referral. Homeowners never pay for the service and never receive anything for using it. The roofer's name isn't printed here; you'll learn it when the company gets in touch.

Your Request, Step by Step

  1. You reach out. Fill in the short form or call (901) 555-0163 with your address and a few words on what's happening with the roof.
  2. We pass it along. Your details go to one independent roofer in the area, and no other company receives them.
  3. The roofer contacts you. The roofer sets a time to look at the roof, often including the attic and decking.
  4. You weigh the estimate. The roofer writes down the price, scope and materials. Whether you sign is entirely your call.

What to Ask the Roofer

Tennessee licenses contractors through the state Board for Licensing Contractors. Shelby County is one of nine Home Improvement license counties, so a home roofing job from $3,000 to $24,999 needs a state Home Improvement license, and a job of $25,000 or more needs a state contractor license. Before you sign, check these:

  • Its Tennessee license. Look the company up on verify.tn.gov and confirm the license type, status and limit fit the size of your job.
  • Insurance paperwork. Ask to see proof of liability insurance, and workers' comp if anyone works for the company.
  • A written contract. It should spell out price, scope, materials and the payment schedule. Tennessee consumer guidance suggests paying no more than about one-third up front, and never cash-only.
  • Warranties on paper. Get the manufacturer and labor warranties in writing, and ask who registers the manufacturer warranty.
  • Permits and HOA rules. Ask who pulls any permit, and whether a roofer pulling county permits has registered with Code Enforcement. Get HOA approval first where one applies.
  • Ventilation and underlayment. Ask how the roofer plans to vent the attic and which underlayment goes on, especially at the eaves and valleys.
  • A fixed local address. Ask for references and a local office you could visit.

What We Won't Promise

This site won't quote a price, promise a start date or vouch for any company. It won't speak to your insurer, judge your claim or help with a deductible: you pay your own, and an offer to cover or waive it is a red flag. Tennessee also bars roofing contractors from acting as public adjusters, who hold a separate state license. And this site never offers a gift, rebate or reward of any kind for sending a request.

Send Your Request

If that sounds like a fit, send the form or call (901) 555-0163. One roofer will follow up, and every decision after that stays with you.
